Ballet Diary

Thank you to everyone who sent Easter messages and gifts it was a confusing time to be busy and lonely at the same time. As we approach Anzac Day is will be 4 weeks since our 'stay at home' experience with very quiet studios. It seems as though it has been much longer but I am very grateful to be living in Alice Springs and certainly appreciate everyone who is beavering away at keeping us safe.

A big 'shout out' to parents who have suddenly become everything! Trying to work from home, teaching or supervising several different grades of school work for children of different ages, create space and time for online everything and run your household. I salute you! I am amazed at the Dads who have made ballet barres for their 'at home' ballet dancers. We miss the smiling faces of our dance students and hopefully we will be able to get back to some sort of normality in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you to everyone for signing up to the Website we are astounded at the above 1000 uses of the videos we have online. This is heartening because preparing all the videos for every ballet level was extreme along with learning and managing 'Zoom' classes. We have some great photos and videos of 'ballet everywhere' - lounge rooms, bedrooms, parks, sheds, driveways and in the pool.

We have been working at our 'back to ballet' campaign and we are ready whenever we get the green light.

I have emailed and spoken to the relevant authorities with our plans for re-opening. This is currently being carefully considered. When we do return we still want to keep everyone safe and well.
