Giselle

Thank you to everyone who came to our production of 'Giselle' which was the Ballet Company's first Winter Season of ballet. The dancers have had such a fantastic response to their performance of Giselle with lots of cards, messages, emails and people calling into the studio to congratulate the dancers.

I am very proud of the whole company - every person put so much into their own performance and even though they all think they could have individually done better - I am impressed and find it hard to believe that the ballet company has so much to give our audiences.

Backstage was buzzing and exciting. Our young Corps de Ballet dancers loved every minute of being in the theatre even when they were tired. They managed school, a cross country run and 4 nights in the theatre.

A thriving live theatre calendar is imperative for every community and it is an honour to be a part of a developing, strong and enthusiastic ballet company.

Live theatre is strengthening for our young dancers as they begin to establish their place in the world learning so much more than ballet. They are encouraged, nurtured and supported as they build confidence, develop skills and experience pride and learn that 'hard work and commitment is rewarded'.
