Ready - Set to go! Araluen here we come.

A brilliant start to Term 3 and welcome to quite a number of new students. We hope you enjoy your time with the Australian Dance Academy. It still warms my heart to try 'new ballet shoes' on very excited petit ballerina's - they are all in! A massive thank you to Erin and Miriam who managed the studio for the first three weeks of term 3 while we attended the International Master Classes in Prague.

The focus now is on Friday and Saturday which will showcase one of our most popular nights in the Theatre. Jazz and Tap are popular styles of dance and each year we stage our 'Jazz Collectives' performance showcasing these dynamic styles. Our 2024 production is called 'A night at the Drive-In' Our dancers dance to the music from popular Movies and bubble with pride when they are applauded by their audience. Our youngest dancers are inspired as they watch and learn from the more accomplished dancers of Duprada Dance Company. The Company dancers are brilliant at helping dress the dancers in their costumes and put their make-up on and make sure they are ready for each stage entrance. The magic of backstage is only surpassed by their time dancing on stage, looking their very best for an appreciative audience and their parents.

We do need the support of a great audience for many reasons, audience applause is fill a performers heart with pride and builds confidence at every age. Audience applause also rewards the hard work that each person puts into the production. Most importantly an audience shows support for our organisation and our value in the Alice Springs community. The financial support is our fundraising and investment in future performances.

We need you all, along with your friends and work colleges - it is a win win - Great night out, heart-warming and inspiring. Alice Springs is full of fantastic people, you will find them at Araluen on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd August, 2024.
